Jersey Nick??? HA Jersey Davis!!

I hope you guys read my blog yesterday because I had DID pick Orlando to beat Boston! Nick should really listen to me more. Better yet, maybe HE should be the intern! Okay maybe not..hope he doesn't let me go after that last comment.
Anyways I wasn't going to blog but my good friend and DIE HARD Orlando Magic fan, Ashley Wehtje! In fact I am going to dedicate this blog to her.
Nobody believe in them but hey they forced a game 6 back in Boston. For the last time all your "Celtics" (because lets be real you guys were ghost 4 years ago.) need to calm down. Okay Kendrick Perkins did not deserve to get tossed from the game. But really? How cares? It is not like Perkins is the go-to player for Boston or the best player. So just shut up.
Of course people are going to think that Perkins was going to "stop" Dwight Howard. Again, you "Celtics" fan need to calm down Howard only had 21 points compared to 30 when Perkins was guarding him in game 5 AT HOME. It's okay because you guys will get every call tomorrow night. However, it still wont be enough. I will go back with Orlando. Hopefully this post is good enough for Ash

So much for a one hit wonder

Ha my second blog is underway! I'll save you the trouble by typing a boring intro and just dip right into sports. The Phoenix Suns were able to tie the series up at 2 games a piece. Let me rephrase that The Phoenix Suns BENCH were able to tie the series up at 2 games a piece!! Channing Frye and Leandro Barbosa had 14 points each has the Suns bench scored 54 points.

Before this series started I picked LA to win in 7 games. And it looks like it is heading that way. Look for Phx to win game 5 in LA. (You heard it here first!) In the Eastern Conference i believe (or am just hard headed) that Orlando will win tonight and force a game 6 back in Beantown. Hopefully, Rashard Lewis and Vince Carter will finding their "magic" back in O-town tonight.

Nick gave his listeners a challenge today. "The Nick Bonsanto all time NBA team." Hmmm ALL TIME?! That one is really really tough for me. Anyways I will give you my list and why I picked them.

PG - Earvin "Magic" Johnson
SG - Michael Jordan
SF - Larry Bird
PF - Tim Duncan
C - Bill Russell

Magic and Jordan are just LOCKS at the guards spot. If they aren't in your top 5 then your team will lose! Bird is a tough one. He doesn't play D but one hell of a shooter. So hopefully my team will score more points than yours. Tim Duncan, what more is there to say 4 titles, 4 finals mvps, 20/10 for his entire career. And Bill Russell does 11 titles ring a bell?

That's all for today folks!

First offical blog for Nick Bonsanto and espnchattanooga.com!

I have been interning for ESPN Chattanooga for about a month now. Since www.espnchattanooga.com was recently launched Nick asked me if I would like to blog for the site. I absolutely love to blog! I started back in 2003 while in high school on the website site www.xanga.com man, what a throwback.

So enough of the boring intro (sorry, Nick) lets get down to the sports talking!

Last night the Lakers defended the Suns by the count of 124-112 to take a 2-0 lead in the NBA Western Conference finals. Man, I thought that Phoenix would at least force 7 games. But it is looking like Los Angeles close the deal in 5 games. Phoenix has to make adjustments and stop Lamar Odom. Yes I just said Lamar Odom, Khloe Kardashian's boo, the candy whore, Lamar Odom! He had 17 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assist in 33 minutes. I hate to say it but he has been the X-factor for the Lakers. Where was this during the regular season? I guess when it comes playoff time Khloe lets him click the "candy" off of her or something. Either way Amare is going to have to start playing like...like...i dunno someone who wants to win the series! 3 and 6 rebounds in games 1 and 2 respectively is NOT going to cut it! Maybe he should ask Odom for one of his "lucky" games. Is it just me or is Kobe Bryant very good?!

There is no NBA game on tonight for some odd reason. It makes no kind of sense! What in the world am I suppose to do until Saturday? Good grief David Stern are you losing THAT much money?! Well, lets get into a sport that needs some love.

The world cup is coming! But in this neck of the woods nobody really cares (except for me.) So like it or not I am going to get into my soccer break down in 3...2...1... The opening round game USA vs. England should be amazing! USA is improving but still aren't on the level as the likes of Wayne Rooney, Steven Garrard, and Michael Owen for England. Either way it should be high scoring and very entertaining.

In other soccer news I am aroused by the idea of Barcelona getting striker David Villa! I remember playing with Barcelona in different Fifa's and just losing time and time again to Valencia (where Villa played.) Not only well Barcelona dominate La Liga with (my long lost twin) Leo Messi, and David Villa but I will never lose in Fifa ever again!

So I think that this blog should be enough for the first entry. If Nick is not happy with this then I will just give him an Eagles shirt and call it a day. Until tomorrow (or the next time I write my second one.)
