Been a while since I posted. Sorry fans (if I even have fans) Anyways I wanna talk about my fantasy football team in a yahoo league. Currently I am in 3 leagues (2 ESPN) and I am 2-1 but in yahoo...smh I am 0-3!
I guess it doesn't helped that it was an autodraft which I hate! That's one reason because I did not have any control over my team along with bad matchups/bench calls.
I feel like the Bills, Browns, 49ers, and Panthers all in one!
The Great Nick Bonsanto of ESPN Chattanooga has asked me to blog for him. So from here on out I will be blogging about my thoughts and how they relate to sports (and my life.) Hopefully this will be more fun than boring for you guys..but we shall see.

2010 NFL football season
People have been asking me to make my predictions for NFL season so here we go.
AFC North
Baltimore Ravens 11-5 (Most complete offense in the North plus a great front 7 No Ed Reed early will hurt a lot.)Cincinnati Bengals 9-7 (T.O. usually helps teams in his first year but he is getting long in the tooth along with a decent QB and weak defense.)
Pittsburgh Steelers 8-8 (No Big Ben the first four games hurt Best overall defense in the North but they will be playing catch up all season long.)Cleveland Browns 5-11 (So Sad that Cleveland fans are looking more forward to Browns games than Cavs games.)
AFC South
Indianapolis Colts 13-3 (These fools win 12 plus games every year, Bob Sanders is coming back and they didn't lose anyone big.)
Houston Texans 9-7 (They get better and better each year so expect A Johnson to have 1,500 yards and for the Texans to finally beat the Colts!)
Tennessee Titans 8-8 (I personally think they are somewhat overrated. They aren't that good VY is blah but CJ helps so no winning record this year.)
Jacksonville Jaguars 8-8 (They are always going up and down. MJD should have a strong year if healthy but thats about it.
AFC East
New England Patriots 10-6 (Still have the best team in the division, weak defense, and horrible on the road, but can't bet against Brady when Henne Sanchez and Edwards are still unproven.)
New York Jets 10-6 ("Best defense" in the east but question marks all over the offensive side of the ball.)
Miami Dolphins 9-7 (Up and coming team they will be in the running for most of the season but experience and silly loses will keep them out of the playoffs.)
Buffalo Bills 3-13 (No T.O. and possibly moving to Canada means an easy two wins for everyone else in the division.)
AFC West
San Diego Chargers 9-7 (Questions at WR and RB spots a somewhat good defense. They will slide a little this year.)
Oakland Raiders 8-8 (Jason Campbell will help the offense out a lot! Maybe the best defense in the West. They will win games this year.)
Kansas City Chiefs 7-9 (They improved their offense and defense cords along with added Thomas Jones this team is on the up.)
Denver Broncos 6-10 (Losing Brandon Marshall hurts questions at QB horrible defense and last in the West.)
NFC North
Green Bay Packers 12-4 (Great offense good enough defense A-Rod just needs more protection on that O line.)
Minnesota Vikings 8-8 (Favre is going to fart and have an average year at best. AP still has problems holding on to the ball. Oh yeah no WR's to throw to.)
Chicago Bears 7-9 (Mike Martz will help Jay Cutler. Chestor Taylor in the back field and Julius Peppers on the D line but Green Bay is too strong to lose this race.)
Detroit Lions 5-11 (They are still up and coming so 3 more wins than the previous year is a good thing to look forward to.)
NFC South
New Orleans Saints 11-5 (Still the best team in the South but Madden curse will cause Brees to struggle a bit.)
Atlanta Falcons 10-6 (If everyone on offense stays healthy then they will give the Saints fits all year long.)
Carolina Panthers 8-8 (Great running attack but lots of questions at QB and weak defense compared to past years.)
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 4-12 (Young young team it will be a while before they make noise in the South again.)
NFC East
Dallas Cowboys 11-5 (Hate to do this but great offense and enough defense to run table in the East.)
New York Giants 9-7 (Giants bounce somewhat back. But their defense still needs help and you don't spell Eli P-E-Y-T-O-N
Washington Redskins 8-8 (McNabb helps when healthy good defense and a nice Portis-Johnson RB mini monster.)
Philadelphia Eagles 6-10 (So hard for me to make this one! But yeah questions at QB decent WR core no secondary.)
NFC West
San Francisco 49ers 10-6 (Sippin' on that 49ers drink like everyone else. Great defense in a weak division spells a walk in the park to the West crown.)
Arizona Cardinals 7-9 (No Warner AND Boldin hurts tons! Fitzgerald will still get his but one man can only do so much.)
Seattle Seahawks 6-10 (On the rise some what but they always catch the injury bug.)
St. Louis Rams 3-14 (So young. Where did the greatest show on turf go?)
It's hard to do the playoff match up but the NFC Champ will be: Atlanta Falcons and AFC Champ will be: Baltimore Ravens
I'll leave it at that no Super Bowl winner just yet lol
(I = Division winner; U = Wildcard teams)

Back for the very first time
Man I have not blogged in the month of August (my bad folks) and this is the first time I am blogging in Sep.
Well I am pretty excited that (college) football is back! I am not the biggest college football fan but I am excited that unc plays tonight. With or without half the team.
Oh well we will see what happens...

Dez Bryant is not on Chris Paul's level!!
So as promised, this blog is going to be about sports! I know it has been a while since i blogged due to Nick being at SEC media days (and not taking me!) also not coming to work on Tuesday due to lack of gas. But anyways here we go...
Dez Bryant of the Dallas Cowboys won't carry Roy Williams' pads. Well as many of you may know, I do HATE that Dallas Cowboys with a passion! One reason is because of all this drama going on year in and year out. Every rookie has done it in the past, no one is getting hurt so there really is no big deal about it. Not just in football but it happens in all team sports even freshmen in high school/college! Just because of all this nonsense going on Dez Bryant better show up for the Cowboys this year! Since the only reason he signed with the Cowboys is to play football and win a Super Bowl. HA Super Bowl?! Dallas will NOT be winning any Super Bowl this year (maybe, in Madden) Even though Roy Williams has been HOT TRASH since joining the cowboys he still has some credibility over Dez Bryant.
Now Chris Paul. Some of you might know that Chris Paul is my boy! At the same time I do not like his trade request talk (but I do understand.) This problem does seem pretty easy to me. All Chris Paul wants is to win. So why not bring hoopers to Nawlins? Seems to be the best way to fix the problem. But if you think about Nawlins did not have THAT bad of a year last year. CP missed a bunch of time at yet they were still around .500 so the best is yet to come (hopefully)

Inception blew my mind away and I dream so differently!
Yeah I know this is the longest title in the history of titles. But Inception really did blow my mind away and I dream so differently now! As you know (or might not know) this movie was directed by Christopher Nolan (the guy who made The Dark Knight.) According to imdb.com the plot of the movie was
Dom Cobb is a skilled thief, the absolute best in the dangerous art of extraction, stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state, when the mind is at its most vulnerable. Cobb's rare ability has made him a coveted player in this treacherous new world of corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved. Now Cobb is being offered a chance at redemption. One last job could give him his life back but only if he can accomplish the impossible-inception. Instead of the perfect heist, Cobb and his team of specialists have to pull off the reverse: their task is not to steal an idea but to plant one. If they succeed, it could be the perfect crime. But no amount of careful planning or expertise can prepare the team for the dangerous enemy that seems to predict their every move. An enemy that only Cobb could have seen coming.
So yeah a movie about dreams and messing with people's thoughts through their dreams! I personally love it because I am fascinated by dreams. Not to mention the great cast in this movie: Leonardo DiCaprio (Shutter Island), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (500 Days of Summer), Ellen Page (Juno), Michael Caine (The Dark Knight), and Cillian Murphy (Red Eye).
Even thought this movie is 148 minutes it is a MUST see this summer! If I did not fall in love with Toy Story 3 oh so much this would be my #1 movie that I have seen this summer but it is second hand to TS3
next blog is about sports, I promise!

Death at a Funeral
After the show I went to eat at Qdoba, then went to the movies with Kara and her friend. We decided to watch Death at a Funeral starting Chris Rock, Danny Glover, Tracy Morgan, Zoe Saldana, and Martin Lawrence. Among other decent actors. It was pretty funny I did laugh a lot! There were just two scenes that were kind of nasty...so I would give that movie a B

A well derseved "real" blog (for once)
So I know that lately I have not been blogging as much as I should be. I apologize for that. Nick has had me running around doing this and that. But things have died down a little bit which gives me more time to blog to my fans! And if you guys really can't stand my blogging then oh well.
This morning I had to get ready to go to court. Yes, court, court not even a basketball court. Yeah I got a ticket back in May and my court date was today. Sigh after taking forever to find the courthouse AND parking I got there! But I got there and the judge gave me driving school. I have 6 months to complete it and all will be forgotten. :) So on August 29th I will be trapped in a class for 8 hrs watching videos and talking about driving...oh the joys in life!
I guess I lied because this blog wasn't that great sorry fans!! lol

Ugh LeBron James..
I would like to say this about LeBron James. At this point in time he will NEVER be better than Kobe or Jordan.
Now on to my weekend..
Saturday
Nothing too life changing happened that day. I went over to my friend's house for a mini cookout then we went to the lookouts game! (Can't beat $2 for a baseball ticket!) It's a shame we did not get there early to watch Nick throw out his first pitch...I wanna guess it was not good lol. Then we got some ice cream at DQ. When I got home I started a "friends" marathon :)
Sunday
I woke up early for some reason and went to Mckays. Now I had one of those yellow sheets with $60 worth of whatever I wanted in there. My brother's b'day is on the 18th so I got him a couple of DVDs then I bought season's 2-4 of friends! Great stuff!
Monday
I got student dean access today! Ha I have the power to open every single door in Talge! Take that! Now I am downtown on the air but earlier I went to the pulse section and learned stuff about their weekly column.

The Article is DONE!!
Okay I lied a little bit. Nick and myself are not quite done with the Chattanooga FC article yet, but we are basically done for the most part. That does make me happy and it should be hitting new stands soon! It took a lot of hard work but I do believe Nick and myself did a great job on it. Just let us know what you think about it.
LeBron James. That is all I have to say. Just LeBron James. As you guys know his "big" press conference is tonight at 9:00. Since when did prime time move from 8:00 to 9:00? Anyways I have been saying for forever and a day that LeBron James is staying in Cleveland. But I received a text from espn (plug) that Chris Broussard says LeBron will sign with Miami! Talk about a powerhouse. Maybe I should by my hawks/heat tickets right this second. So while I'll look those up watch the special tonight and we can talk about it tomorrow.

Interviews at Finley Stadium
Yesterday I left the show early to work on this article that I am doing for the Pulse weekly. It was pretty awesome to talk to the soccer players. This should be a pretty good article. I have to go back on Thursday to wrap it up. Sigh the life of a journalist...

Back from "vacation"
So Nick is back in studio as well as I am. Now I did not go on his baseball trip with him however, I did find ways to keep myself busy. The NBA draft happened last Thursday (my b'day) Maybe it's just me but I say that Wesley Johnson is going to be one (if not the best) players that recently got traded. Too bad he is going to the Timberwolves. And there is "something" about DeMarcus Cousins that I do not like. My boy Ed Davis got drafted by the Raptors! Looks like I will be buying that jersey in the upcoming months.
This might be my last blog for quite some time because I have a lot of busy, busy, work to do for Nick so tt4n

7th Heaven and the wright way
It is a great thing that I work for ESPN (Chattanooga) because I did picked LA to win it all in 7. Not only am I going to be right but I will win $10! Gosh the Lakers better win tonight. It really does help that Perkins is out.
Like I do every Wednesday, I go to the movies with my buddy Tania. Last night we watched Just Wright with Queen Latifah, Common, and Paula Patton. Overall it was a pretty good movie. I was just mad that the Nets played the Magic 18 times (all at the Izod Center) and the Nets made the NBA finals!
Just funny to me. But talk about eye candy in Paula Patton! Mercy!!! IF you're a guy watch it for Paula Patton, if you're a girl watch it Common.

Weekend of Wonders
It is Monday so I shall give you a recap of my weekend. On Saturday I watched the England vs. USA match. Ugh I am so upset with the outcome! I know that I was born in the United States of America but I am an England fan. Not a USA hater, they are just not my #1. I did love how (my boy) Steven Gerrard scored within the first four minutes! But good grief Robert Green, good freakin grief!! Later that night I watched Running Scared (starring Paul Walker) and made a Wal-mart run with Tania.
Sunday was more Tania time. We went to see The Karate Kid. Pretty good movie. I loved the ending credits I counted FIVE pictures of Will Smith! Ooh, what a guy. Anyways then we moved hopped to the killers. Eh this movie was alright..glad we saw it for free. Then watched game 5 of the NBA finals. I know I have been saying this all series but gosh these ref's suck! Well I am not to to surprised because I did pick LA to win it all in seven.

World Cup or Riverbend?
June 11, 2010 is here meaning that this is the first day of the World Cup or Riverbend (depending who you are.) Of course I am going to try to do both as much as possible.
While in Nick's office I was watching the South Africa/Mexico game. It was a shame that I did not get a chance to see the goals scored. From what I heard, Mexico got screwed. Oh well, it is not like these teams would do that good and make a serious run anyways.
So I did a lot of riverbend setup today. Boy is it hot outside! I am even leaving the show early to go back and set up even more. Sorry this is going to have to be a short one because I am watching the France/Uruguay game!

Couldn't think of a great title...
So yesterday was my friend Tania's Birthday. We went to the dollar theater (greatest idea ever!!) and watched The Losers. Starring Zoe Saldana, Chris Evans, and Idris Elba.
The plot of this movie according to IMDb is A tale of double cross and revenge, centered upon the members of an elite U.S. Special Forces unit sent into the Bolivian jungle on a search and destroy mission. The team-Clay, Jensen, Roque, Pooch and Cougar -find themselves the target of a lethal betrayal instigated from inside by a powerful enemy known only as Max. Presumed dead, the group makes plans to even the score when they're joined by the mysterious Aisha, a beautiful operative with her own agenda. Working together, they must remain deep undercover while tracking the heavily-guarded Max, a ruthless man bent on embroiling the world in a new high-tech global war. All and all it was a pretty good movie. If you like action and want to see sexy Zoe Saldana kick some ass then watch this movie!
The Stanley Cup Finals was also on but I did not watch it. But for what it is worth go Blackhawks! Way to end that drought. The Flyers did have a great, great playoff run. The NBA finals picks up again tonight and I believe that Boston is going to win the game tonight. Yeah I know, I do have LA winning it in all but you know how LA is about all the (johnny) drama. But if some way that the Celtics DO come back and win the championship, it would have to be in 7 games. Just like my good friend Andrew Dormus said "The Lakers like leaving the back door open."
So the mighty men of troy got hit hard. Yes, The USC Trojans got banned from Bowl games for two years. (That's what happens when you don't wrap up with Trojans.) Anyways, its all good because in three to four years they will be back at the top.
More college sports news...Colorado is moving to the Pac 10 and there is a rumor that Texas and Texas Tech will more to the Big Ten and Oklahoma to the SEC. I still am not a fan of all of this crap! As long as the ACC is straight then I will be straight. Go Tarheels!!! We will back in the final four in 2012!!

When you're hot, you're hot, and when you're not, you're not!
Just by the title alone should tell you what I am going to post about! Sigh (Walter) Ray Allen AKA Jesus Shuttlesworth. In Game 2 He got game with his 32 points, and making 8/11 3 pointers! (7 in a row) But last night was...I don't even know how to put it in words! The stats speak for themselves. 42 minutes 0-8 from 3 point land and 0-13 from the field!! Sugar Ray did have 2 points from the freethrow line.
Well that clearly not enough to beat the Fisher and the Lakers.
Yep, Derek Fisher and his left handed skills came through! 16 points and straight clutchness! Remember there are TWO current Lakers players who have 4 championship rings. Another thing, those stupid ref's just suck even more! Yet, again as long as I win my 10 bucks I will be straight.
Short blog today (I know, I know, I am slacking)

Back from the weekend
This is my first blog since the weekend so I guess I will let everyone know what I am thinking about.
Saturday night All I did was go to Mckays to get some DVDs. When I left Mckays I had red eye, spiderman 1 & 2, ID4, and In Living Color (season 1.) Great great stuff! I really enjoyed my Saturday night!
Sunday was basically hooping day. I got a text from Vic asking what I was going to be doing at 1:00 and I told him nothing. He told me people are hooping at the YMCA so I did that in the afternoon then went to the school gym to hoop even more. Boy, was I tired after all of that. The I went home to watch the lakers/celtics games. Ugh the ref's are trying to make me lose this bet! Oh well its 1-1 and I believe that LA is going to win 2 in Boston before they come back to LA LA land.
Yesterday was just a lookouts game and coming home to watch dexter. My stupid dvd driver wont open! Ugh so I got all those DVDs and I can't even watch them!
Today I just ripped up carpets early in the morning and now I am with Nick on the air. I got LA winning tonight
Sorry this blog lacked the sports talk. The next one should be better.

Back2Back..YEAH...YEAH!!
Man, look at me go! My second straight post! It is like Nick is paying me to do this or something (but he really is not.)
Okay let's get into it..I know you guys are on the edge of your seat to hear my NBA Finals thoughts. Well here we go. LA BEAT (and i do mean BEAT) Boston 102-89. Kobe continued his 30 point rampage and the supporting cast did what they had to do. Before the game started I told one of the Deans that there was going to be a fight in this series. Low behold in second possession of the game Ron Ron and PP got in a mini "pushing war." What a way to kick off the series!!
Now for the rest of the game...eh not so great..I've seen better (and played better.) But hey that's a win for LA. Which means I am only 3 LA victories away from winning that $10 bucks from Gene Stevens! That is something I am really excited for. Plus my birthday is coming up! (mmmmm Happy EARLY Birthday to me!)
So lets see what else there is to talk about...umm how about those Hockey ratings? According to the NHL page on ESPN "Game 3 drew the largest TV audience for the Stanley Cup finals on cable in eight years." Big markets and close games will do it. Such much for big stars in the Stanley Cup.
What is up with all these soccer players getting injured? Ballack..Ferdinand..Drogba..Pirlo good grief! Well, at least most of the big names are still healthy (for now)
Ha Danny Ferry resigned. I am still not sure if that helps the Cavs keeping LeBron James. I don't care much about Ferry (Duke sucks.) Hopefully something big will happen this weekend so I have more to blog about!

About time for the Finals to start!
So it took five days but the NBA Finals is finally here! You don't even have to ask me if I am going to watch it or not. Of course I am going to watch game 1. Besides the fact that Shenise would KILL ME if I missed the game, I have seen game 1 of the NBA finals from 1997. Just got to keep my "ironman" streak going.
I believe that the Lakers will win in 7 games. Also, I made a bet with Gene Stevens that the Lakers will win the championship. Boy I hope I am right because I NEED to win this 10 bucks.
Anyways..enough of my life and lack of money. Ken Griffey Jr retired. *tears* What a great player in the 90s! My favorite baseball player of all-time. A pure lefty, #24 and just an amazing talent. (Damn injuries and old age!) Hopefully Jason Heyward will be the next "Kid"
Honestly its a pretty dull sports day. I mean you had Griff you had the ump jacking up the perfect game (which was a horrible call.) and Lakers vs. Celtics (part 12) Everything else is just blah
Last night I went to the dollar theater to see Bounty Hunter starting Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston. Eh, I thought the movie was going to be better. It was kind of like Cop-Out. Is it just me or has it been a while since I have seen a GREAT movie at the dollar theater?
Guess thats why it is called the DOLLAR THEATER...

Jersey Nick??? HA Jersey Davis!!
I hope you guys read my blog yesterday because I had DID pick Orlando to beat Boston! Nick should really listen to me more. Better yet, maybe HE should be the intern! Okay maybe not..hope he doesn't let me go after that last comment.
Anyways I wasn't going to blog but my good friend and DIE HARD Orlando Magic fan, Ashley Wehtje! In fact I am going to dedicate this blog to her.
Nobody believe in them but hey they forced a game 6 back in Boston. For the last time all your "Celtics" (because lets be real you guys were ghost 4 years ago.) need to calm down. Okay Kendrick Perkins did not deserve to get tossed from the game. But really? How cares? It is not like Perkins is the go-to player for Boston or the best player. So just shut up.
Of course people are going to think that Perkins was going to "stop" Dwight Howard. Again, you "Celtics" fan need to calm down Howard only had 21 points compared to 30 when Perkins was guarding him in game 5 AT HOME. It's okay because you guys will get every call tomorrow night. However, it still wont be enough. I will go back with Orlando. Hopefully this post is good enough for Ash

So much for a one hit wonder
Ha my second blog is underway! I'll save you the trouble by typing a boring intro and just dip right into sports. The Phoenix Suns were able to tie the series up at 2 games a piece. Let me rephrase that The Phoenix Suns BENCH were able to tie the series up at 2 games a piece!! Channing Frye and Leandro Barbosa had 14 points each has the Suns bench scored 54 points.
Before this series started I picked LA to win in 7 games. And it looks like it is heading that way. Look for Phx to win game 5 in LA. (You heard it here first!) In the Eastern Conference i believe (or am just hard headed) that Orlando will win tonight and force a game 6 back in Beantown. Hopefully, Rashard Lewis and Vince Carter will finding their "magic" back in O-town tonight.
Nick gave his listeners a challenge today. "The Nick Bonsanto all time NBA team." Hmmm ALL TIME?! That one is really really tough for me. Anyways I will give you my list and why I picked them.
PG - Earvin "Magic" Johnson
SG - Michael Jordan
SF - Larry Bird
PF - Tim Duncan
C - Bill Russell
Magic and Jordan are just LOCKS at the guards spot. If they aren't in your top 5 then your team will lose! Bird is a tough one. He doesn't play D but one hell of a shooter. So hopefully my team will score more points than yours. Tim Duncan, what more is there to say 4 titles, 4 finals mvps, 20/10 for his entire career. And Bill Russell does 11 titles ring a bell?
That's all for today folks!

First offical blog for Nick Bonsanto and espnchattanooga.com!
I have been interning for ESPN Chattanooga for about a month now. Since www.espnchattanooga.com was recently launched Nick asked me if I would like to blog for the site. I absolutely love to blog! I started back in 2003 while in high school on the website site www.xanga.com man, what a throwback.
So enough of the boring intro (sorry, Nick) lets get down to the sports talking!
Last night the Lakers defended the Suns by the count of 124-112 to take a 2-0 lead in the NBA Western Conference finals. Man, I thought that Phoenix would at least force 7 games. But it is looking like Los Angeles close the deal in 5 games. Phoenix has to make adjustments and stop Lamar Odom. Yes I just said Lamar Odom, Khloe Kardashian's boo, the candy whore, Lamar Odom! He had 17 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assist in 33 minutes. I hate to say it but he has been the X-factor for the Lakers. Where was this during the regular season? I guess when it comes playoff time Khloe lets him click the "candy" off of her or something. Either way Amare is going to have to start playing like...like...i dunno someone who wants to win the series! 3 and 6 rebounds in games 1 and 2 respectively is NOT going to cut it! Maybe he should ask Odom for one of his "lucky" games. Is it just me or is Kobe Bryant very good?!
There is no NBA game on tonight for some odd reason. It makes no kind of sense! What in the world am I suppose to do until Saturday? Good grief David Stern are you losing THAT much money?! Well, lets get into a sport that needs some love.
The world cup is coming! But in this neck of the woods nobody really cares (except for me.) So like it or not I am going to get into my soccer break down in 3...2...1... The opening round game USA vs. England should be amazing! USA is improving but still aren't on the level as the likes of Wayne Rooney, Steven Garrard, and Michael Owen for England. Either way it should be high scoring and very entertaining.
In other soccer news I am aroused by the idea of Barcelona getting striker David Villa! I remember playing with Barcelona in different Fifa's and just losing time and time again to Valencia (where Villa played.) Not only well Barcelona dominate La Liga with (my long lost twin) Leo Messi, and David Villa but I will never lose in Fifa ever again!
So I think that this blog should be enough for the first entry. If Nick is not happy with this then I will just give him an Eagles shirt and call it a day. Until tomorrow (or the next time I write my second one.)
